
Jack W. Cline was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in the Western District of the U.S. Federal Courts in 1984, and began to practice law with the firm of Stranahan & Stranahan in Mercer. Attorney Cline has practiced law in Western Pennsylvania for nearly forty years, having tried both civil and criminal cases in Mercer, Lawrence, Crawford, Venango, Butler and Allegheny County. He has won civil and criminal verdicts throughout those counties over the years and has settled hundreds of civil and criminal cases. At one stretch, Attorney Cline won 9 consecutive DUI jury trials and later won five consecutive felony jury trials. He won a murder case in 2019. He has also won several cases on appeal to the Superior and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania.
In 2015, Attorney Cline was named in the Top 100 Criminal Defense Lawyers in the State of Pennsylvania, an honor he has continued to receive through the present. In 2017, he received the “Lifetime Achievement Award, a national award bestowed on less than half of 1 % of all lawyers. In 2023 he received membership in the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. Members are vetted by a research team, a blue-ribbon panel of attorneys, and a judicial review board and only the top 1 % of Attorneys in the United States are awarded membership. Finally, Attorney Cline was named a TOP TEN (In Pennsylvania) American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys.
Attorney Cline became a partner in the Stranahan Stranahan & Cline law firm in 1993. In 2020, the firm purchased the McBride law firm in Grove City, Attorney Cline works out of both offices. He continues to help individuals charged with criminal offenses along with individuals facing governmental sanctions, such as license suspensions or revocations. He represents several businesses and corporations faced with legal issues and governmental bureau actions, including liquor license matters. Most recently, he has focused on Estate Planning and Estate work along with
Accident and injury cases.
Jack resides in Grove City PA. His interests are sports, mainly golf, golf club making, piano, and reading, mainly history.
Jack W. Cline was born in Grove City and graduated with High Honors from Grove City High School. He then attended Allegheny College where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in History and Economics. He was selected for the Alden Scholar Dean’s List for four years. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and played on the Allegheny College Golf team where he was All-Conference for 3 years and All-American his senior year. He is a member of the Allegheny College Sports Hall of Fame. Attorney Cline graduated cum laude from Allegheny and was accepted into the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He graduated with a Juris Doctorate from Pitt Law School and passed the Pennsylvania Bar Exam in 1984. That year, he won a national writing contest for the Federation of Insurance Counsel.
